Guild Mandates Empty
PostSubject: Guild Mandates   Guild Mandates EmptySat Aug 08, 2009 12:29 am

First and foremost, NO DRAMA! Any disputes or disagreements with any member should be taken to a private channel, not in guild chat. Should the problem not be easily resolved a Council member should be notified. Also screenshots of the said event should be taken to back up any complaint.

Dead-weight within the guild(s) is not acceptable. As such, any member that expects to be gone for more than 10 days should notify Council members, and post in the appropriate thread on the Forum homepage. Members that are gone longer without notice will be removed from the Guild(s), but have a chance to come back in if they become active once again. **Note** Special conditions may be applied if your playtime is limited by RL circumstances. Approach a Council member if alternative methods need to be in place based on your individual needs.

Once weekly, a visit to the Guildsite/Forums is expected -- This is to ensure that our member base is well-informed about events, issues, etc. A missed week is tolerable from time to time, but repeated inactivity will be approached the same as absence from Guild ingame.

Every member of the Guild(s) will respect its Council, and treat the word of the Council as if it were the words of the Leaders. Rebellion against the authority of any Council member will NOT be tolerated in any way and will be immediate grounds for banishment if the Council Member's request was reasonable.

Should, at any time, you have issues with any member of the Council (including myself) please come to Gunthor, Dryden, or Arienne as soon as possible.

As long as the issue is approached constructively, we will come to a solution easily and quickly.

Guild channels will be kept free of any vulgar, derogatory, racial, religious or other potentially offensive remarks or conversation. IF warned about a chat subject repeated offenses in the same day or the blatant disregard for the request to change the subject matter will be grounds for removal. After all, we want a socially inviting environment and there are members of all ages in the guild.

Weekly contributions to the Guild(s) are expected in some fashion. Should you not have the time to spend gathering or crafting due to RL restrictions on your gameplay, it is understandable. Contact a Council member and an alternative contribution method can be found. If the Leaders can do it, you can do it. **Note** This is to ensure the growth of the Guild(s) and all of our members, and will make the game more enjoyable for everyone. Donations of Wood, Herbs, Ore and Money helps the Guild not only grow but also helps it to be able to provide many things that the Guild needs i.e. Guild Castle, Production equipment, stables and so on. Your contribution isn't used for the Guild Leaders' or Council's own benefit, it automatically goes to helping the Guild. And it is documented in the Contribution Log. Those that contribute will not receive special treatment or status {unless it is part of a contest} above those that don't. Minimum suggested donations per week for Non-Probate members is 1000pts worth of materials, 5000 gold, and two guild runes...or any combination of the said that's near equivalent. These are what we'd like to see in the spirit of Guild growth and are far from unreasonable, though if a member cannot complete the task for some reason, contact one of the Leaders...Arienne or Gunthor/Dryden.

Guild socialization/help is not only needed to help improve the friendly atmosphere of the Guild(s), it is a must for continued membership. We can all understand if you're a bit shy or timid, but when spoken to, especially directly, some response is expected.

NO call upon the Guild(s) for assistance, no matter how big or small, will go unanswered. Even if that answer is that you cannot help at the time, or that you don't know the answer of the question being asked. The ignoring of fellow guildies at any given time when it's obvious that someone is in the chat channel is immediate grounds for reprimand, and possible rank loss or kick from Guild(s) should it continue. This does not mean that at times people are not busy, nor that in the middle of combat you should try to answer and risk death. It merely states that when people are conversing in Guild chat it is obviously not that hard for one of them to notice someone else is talking and take a second to answer them.

Above all else, remember...it's only a game. Have fun, enjoy yourselves, and treat others the way you want to be treated.
