Conditions for Completion of 2-week Probation

During this probation period, a lot is expected of each of you...this is in no way to make the 'newbies' haul the guild to glory, it is simply to root out people that may not be that into becoming a part of Genesis. By no means is Genesis a place for those looking to get ahead, and should you achieve full membership...it will be by the hard work and determination you show in aspiring to become a part of our tradition. In putting our members through a preliminary probation period it shows us that our members are focused, and guild-oriented...and should a 'free-ride' slip through the cracks it will still benefit the guild as a whole while they are still here.

The requirements may be hard for some to meet...and inevitably, people will fail. It is a sad truth that sometimes things just are not in the control of the people that want them. As such, should any of the following requirements (attendance or material donation) be unattainable, contact Gunthor/Dryden or Arienne to see if there are alternatives. Also, if any Probate member fails probation for any reason other than misconduct or blatant disrespect for the Guild and its members, they will be able to have another chance down the line should they want it.

That being said, the requirements are as follows:

** Donation of 1500 pts. worth of mats to the Guild per week. This is not hard to do, be it by gathering or purchase through AH, and is ultimately just to aid in the growth of the guild toward castle acquisition/improvement. **

** A stricter attendance requiring a minimum 65% (9 of 14 days) attendance during the 2-week probation. This allows for the members to get to know you better and for the Guild Council to get a feel for the kind of Member you may be. Even if the time you stay ingame is limited, just showing up and saying 'hi' proves more than one would think. **

** No blatant violations of Guild Mandates. Obviously, people make mistakes, but if a person has truly disrespected the Mandates of the guild and is known to be registered here...they will be removed should the activity be persistent. **

** Registration at both the Guildsite and Forum. Necessary for Guild membership and in ways the HIGHEST priority of the list. This allows the for the continued growth of the Guild by keeping its member base well informed about events and expectations. It is expected that ALL members, whether Probates or not LOG IN at least once a week to show they are actually taking the time to check things out. We will NOT accept "I didn't know" as an excuse so the quicker you read the mandates the easier it will be for you to make the decision as to whether Genesis is right for you. **

** Socialization/Guild Spirit -- Even if members are shy or soft-spoken, it is at minimum expected that they respond if capable to any direct questions/requests...Especially from the Guild Council/Leadership. After all, we have to get to know you a bit in order for the final requirement. **
